HAVE YOU SEEN THIS SHIT????????

10-10-08
By Daddy

I ask you again, HAVE YOU SEEN THIS SHIT?

(The picture at the right is of James Harris. The perpetrator of the most ass kissing we've seen on television in a long time)

Is this brother sick or what? Now don’t get me wrong, I understand the one thing that makes this a great country is our right as an individual to vote for whoever we please. And to campaign for whomever we please. But this is just some downright dirty shit.

Brother, or can I call him brother? (I can't call him brother) What the hell is wrong with you. Even if you are doing this for your fifteen minutes of fame, how could you stand there in the midst of a Klan rally and let excrement flow from your lips like diarrhea? You have set stupid “NIGGERS” back one hundred years.

Now I hope you’ve noticed that I said “NIGGERS”.

"Slaves often pandered to racist assumptions by using the word nigger to their advantage in the self-deprecatory artifice of
Tomming.[19] Implicit was an unspoken reminder that a presumably inferior person or subhuman could not reasonably be held responsible for work performed incorrectly, a fire in the kitchen, or any similar offense. It was a means of deflecting responsibility in the hope of escaping the wrath of an overseer or master. Its use as a self-referential term was also a way to avoid suspicion and put whites at ease. A slave who referred to himself or another black as a "nigger" presumably accepted his subordinate role and posed no threat to white authority". (Wikipedia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigger

I understand that this guy is a Rethuglican. What I don’t understand is how he could stand there and kiss McInsane’s ass in front of hundreds of people at the rally, and now millions of people around the world. AROUND THE WORLD!!

This is a perfect example of “Crabs in a Barrel”. It has taken hundreds of years in this country for Black folks to gain this much ground, and respect from ALL Americans. And I’m including those who hate us. (They may hate us, but even they can’t deny the progress that has taken place over so many years). And for this, this. This uh. Hell I don’t even know what to call him. Is there a name for a person like this?

I was reading Field Negro this morning, and he calls him a SLAVE CATCHER.
http://field-negro.blogspot.com/

Well personally I think the guy is way beneath that.
It’s cool if you don’t like Barack Obama, but why try to tear down years of progress with a thirty second sound bite to further your own agenda?

Well right here and now I wish I could say I hope this person gets his ass kicked every time he comes in contact with a real Black man. But no matter what these type of people do I will not lose my cool. I have to remember that it’s starting to look like Barack Obama will pull this thing off. It's starting to look like we are going to get the change that we as Americans deserve. But at the same time it’s starting to look like McInsane is going to do whatever it takes to win this election. Country First? Shit! McInsane first.

I am not naive to the point of thinking an Obama win will change the country overnight. The Rethuglican’s have this economy so fu**ed up it will take twenty years to get us out of this. But I do see that if Barack Obama does win this thing, political campaigns, and politics in general will change. We are starting to see that the old way of tearing down the opponent’s character is not the way to go. Lying on the opponent is not the way to go. Thinking that the American people don’t know any better is not the way to go.

The people in this country are concerned about the economy, the war, healthcare, education, jobs being shipped overseas etc…

But no matter who you are, or what race or religion, you should be proud of your heritage. You should always be proud of where you come from. We as individuals may not agree with each others philosophies, but we have to give that respect none the less.

To have one of our own (and he is whether we like it or not) go out and attempt to tear down our heritage for his own merit is unacceptable.

I’m so pissed that all I can say is God bless him. He needs all of the guidance he can get.

You all have a great and blessed day.
PEACE!

Daddy.

Please Check Your Voter Registration

10/09/2008

Good morning, Good morning.

This is just a quick note to urge you to check your voter registration. The following story names Colorado as one of the states that are illegally dropping voters’ names from the rolls, and blocking some folks from registering. For Colorado residents you can go to Colorado Secretary of State Election Center, and follow the instruction to;

#1. Make sure your name hasn’t been dropped.
#2. Check that your info is correct.
#3. See where you are supposed to be on election day.

Peace!

States’ Actions to Block Voters Appear Illegal

By IAN URBINA
Published: October 8, 2008

Tens of thousands of eligible voters in at least six swing states have been removed from the rolls or have been blocked from registering in ways that appear to violate federal law, according to a review of state records and Social Security data by The New York Times.

The actions do not seem to be coordinated by one party or the other, nor do they appear to be the result of election officials intentionally breaking rules, but are apparently the result of mistakes in the handling of the registrations and voter files as the states tried to comply with a 2002 federal law, intended to overhaul the way elections are run.

Still, because Democrats have been more aggressive at registering new voters this year, according to state election officials, any heightened screening of new applications may affect their party’s supporters disproportionately. The screening or trimming of voter registration lists in the six states —
Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina — could also result in problems at the polls on Election Day: people who have been removed from the rolls are likely to show up only to be challenged by political party officials or election workers, resulting in confusion, long lines and heated tempers.

Who is This Guy Barack Obama?

Oct 8th 2008

I want to thank Sistah Alruth Toney for finding this scrapbook.

This is the first time I’ve seen it. Great stuff. Why is it that most folks can look at these pictures of Barack Obama, and see exactly where he comes from? Where is the hint of his coming from anywhere else but middle America in these pictures?

Why is it he has to prove where he comes from, but John Insane doesn’t? Especially when we know Barack was born in Hawaii, and John Insane was born in Panama! Why is it that he had to show his birth certificate and John Insane didn't?

What makes his childhood years any different than any of us? Well I mean besides the fact that he’s Black, and White!

Enjoy!

Politics of Attack

October 8, 2008

Editorial

It is a sorry fact of American political life that campaigns get ugly, often in their final weeks. But Senator John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin have been running one of the most appalling campaigns we can remember.

They have gone far beyond the usual fare of quotes taken out of context and distortions of an opponent’s record — into the dark territory of race-baiting and xenophobia. Senator Barack Obama has taken some cheap shots at Mr. McCain, but there is no comparison.

Despite the occasional slip (referring to Mr. Obama’s “cronies” and calling him “that one”), Mr. McCain tried to take a higher road in Tuesday night’s presidential debate. It was hard to keep track of the number of times he referred to his audience as “my friends.” But apart from promising to buy up troubled mortgages as president, he offered no real answers for how he plans to solve the country’s deep economic crisis. He is unable or unwilling to admit that the Republican assault on regulation was to blame.

Ninety minutes of forced cordiality did not erase the dismal ugliness of his campaign in recent weeks, nor did it leave us with much hope that he would not just return to the same dismal ugliness on Wednesday.

Ms. Palin, in particular, revels in the attack. Her campaign rallies have become spectacles of anger and insult. “This is not a man who sees America as you see it and how I see America,” Ms. Palin has taken to saying.

That line follows passages in Ms. Palin’s new stump speech in which she twists Mr. Obama’s ill-advised but fleeting and long-past association with William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground and confessed bomber. By the time she’s done, she implies that Mr. Obama is right now a close friend of Mr. Ayers — and sympathetic to the violent overthrow of the government. The Democrat, she says, “sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.”

Her demagoguery has elicited some frightening, intolerable responses. A recent Washington Post report said at a rally in Florida this week a man yelled “kill him!” as Ms. Palin delivered that line and others shouted epithets at an African-American member of a TV crew.

Mr. McCain’s aides haven’t even tried to hide their cynical tactics, saying they were “going negative” in hopes of shifting attention away from the financial crisis — and by implication Mr. McCain’s stumbling response.
We certainly expected better from Mr. McCain, who once showed withering contempt for win-at-any-cost politics. He was driven out of the 2000 Republican primaries by this sort of smear, orchestrated by some of the same people who are now running his campaign.

And the tactic of guilt by association is perplexing, since Mr. McCain has his own list of political associates he would rather forget. We were disappointed to see the Obama campaign air an ad (held for just this occasion) reminding voters of Mr. McCain’s involvement in the Keating Five savings-and-loan debacle, for which he was reprimanded by the Senate. That episode at least bears on Mr. McCain’s claims to be the morally pure candidate and his argument that he alone is capable of doing away with greed, fraud and abuse.

In a way, we should not be surprised that Mr. McCain has stooped so low, since the debate showed once again that he has little else to talk about. He long ago abandoned his signature issues of immigration reform and global warming; his talk of “victory” in Iraq has little to offer a war-weary nation; and his Reagan-inspired ideology of starving government and shredding regulation lies in tatters on Wall Street.

But surely, Mr. McCain and his team can come up with a better answer to that problem than inciting more division, anger and hatred.

Does John Insane Even Know What He’s Saying These Days?

10-08-08

Good morning, good morning.

As I watched John Insane go up against Barack Obama in last night’s town hall debate, I was reminded of a documentary I had seen on the campaign’s of John F. Kennedy, and Richard M. Nixon.

It was all theatrics. You could see while watching them side by side that Nixon looked pasty, uncomfortable, and he perspired under the lights for the duration of the debate.

Kennedy on the other hand was calm cool, and collected having taken time to delve into the then high tech world of “makeup”. DUH!

Kennedy had a makeup artist on stage with him that night to keep him looking younger, and stronger of the two candidates. He would even get touchups between camera shots.

So, is it me or did John Insane look like he was having a hard time moving around the stage? And it didn’t help that with his grimacing smile he morphed himself into a troll.

But that’s not my post this morning.

This morning I’m posting a campaign ad from John Insane. In this ad he talks of how Barack Obama is basically a traitor accusing our troops of killing civilians.

Please watch the ad before reading the following story.

You all have a great and blessed day. PEACE!

30 Civilians Died in Afghan Raid, U.S. Inquiry Finds

By
ERIC SCHMITT
Published: October 7, 2008

WASHINGTON — An investigation by the military has concluded that American airstrikes on Aug. 22 in a village in western
Afghanistan killed far more civilians than American commanders there have acknowledged, according to two American military officials.

The military investigator’s report found that more than 30 civilians — not 5 to 7 as the military has long insisted — died in the airstrikes against a suspected
Taliban compound in Azizabad.

The investigator, Brig. Gen. Michael W. Callan of the
Air Force, concluded that many more civilians, including women and children, had been buried in the rubble than the military had asserted, one of the military officials said.

The airstrikes have been the focus of sharp tensions between the Afghan government, which has said that 90 civilians died in the raid, and the American military, under Gen.
David D. McKiernan, the top American military commander in Afghanistan, which has repeatedly insisted that only a handful of civilians were killed.

snopes.com: Obama's Fannie Mae Economic Advisors -FALSE!

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/fanniemae.asp

Three former Fannie Mae executives are tinked to the Obama campaign as chief economic advisors.

THIS IS FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a quick look into 3 former Fannie Mae executives who have brought down Wall Street.

Franklin Raines was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting activities.

Tim Howard - Was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard 'was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a stable pattern of earnings' at Fannie. In everyday English - he was cooking the books.

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. A look at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight's May 2006 report on mismanagement and corruption inside Fannie Mae and you'll see some interesting things about Johnson.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign as Chief Economic Advisor.

TIM HOWARD? Howard is also a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama.

JIM JOHNSON? Johnson hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee.

IF OBAMA PLANS ON CLEANING UP THE MESS - HIS ADVISORS HAVE THE EXPERTISE - THEY MADE THE MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE, Would you trust the men who tore Wall Street down to build the New Wall Street?

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/fanniemae.asp

Wrong!!!!! NOW THE REAL STORY.

When one of the hottest issues of a presidential campaign is the meltdown of the mortgage tending industry and the cottapse of the economy, candidate's having economic advisors on his staff who are strongly associated with the system and practices that helped create the current mess Likely wouldn’t sit well with the pubic.

That's the premise of the above-quoted e-mail, which claims that three men formerly associated with the Federal National Mortgage Association (commonly known as "Fannie Mae") are now serving as "chief economic advisors" with the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.

However, although at least some of these men have had connections to the Obama campaign at one time or another, none of them has ongoing rotes with that campaign as chief economic advisors.

Franklin Raines, who formerly headed the budget office for the Clinton administration, became the first black CEO of a Fortune 500 company when he took over at Fannie Mae" in 1999.

Raines, who had earned 520 million in salary and bonuses from Fannie Mae in 2003, resigned from his CEO position in 2004 after regulators determined that the company had violated accounting rules and created an ittusory 59 billion in past profit.

Raines has had some dealings with the Obama campaign, but he never had any actual position within the campaign, and his involvement with it was not nearly as substantial as implied here.

As the Washington Post reported when a McCain campaign commercial attempted to link Raines with the Democratic candidate, the whole substance of the connection between the two men was that Raines "had gotten a coupte of calls’ from the Obama campaign" in which they talked about "general housing and economy issues."

Franklin Raines' predecessor, James A. Johnson, (former chief of staff to Vice President Walter F. Mondale), was CEO of Fannie Mae from 1991 to 1998.

After Johnson left the company, regulators later discovered that Fannie Mae had engaged in fraudulent accounting practices in'1998 which manipulated its earnings so that executives could earn performance bonuses (up to 51.9 million in Johnson's case) they would not otherwise have been entitled to.

In May 2008, Senator Obama tapped James Johnson to be one member of a three-person panel tasked with vetting potential vice-presidential running mates. Johnson (who was not serving as an economic advisor to the Obama campaign) resigned from that position a month later after news accounts surfaced that he had received more than 52 million in home loans at below average market rates from Countrywide Financial (a partner of Fannie Mae).

Tim Howard, the former CFO (chief financial officer) of Fannie Mae, was caught up in the same accounting scandal that undid Franklin Raines and (tike Raines) resigned from the company in 2004.

We haven't yet found any substantive connection between Tim Howard and the Obama campaign, however, much less any information supporting the claim that Howard is (or was) a "Chief Economic Advisor to Obama."

Frank talk of Obama and race in Virginia

CAMPAIGN '08

YOU CAN’T JUDGE A MAN THIS WAY’: That’s what Obama supporter Ruby Hale says she tells people at church in tiny Rowe, Va. “I am convinced he is a Christian.” She’s pictured with granddaughter Stephanie Webb last month outside church.

As Obama supporters push to win the dead-even battleground state, they are talking directly about race, betting that the best way to put neighbors at ease is to open up.

By Peter Wallsten, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer October 5, 2008

WHITEWOOD, VA. -- The isolated towns of Virginia's Appalachian coal region are home to strong labor unions and Democratic political machines that date back generations. Yet voters here who eagerly pushed Democrats into the Senate and the governor's office are resisting Barack Obama. Some Americans say Obama's race and uncommon background make them uncomfortable -- here those people include Democratic precinct chairmen and get-out-the-vote workers. Many Americans receive e-mails falsely calling Obama a Muslim -- here a local newspaper columnist has joked in print that Obama would have the White House painted black and would put Islamic symbols on the U.S. flag.

When Cecil E. Roberts, president of the coal miners union that shapes politics in much of this mountain region, talks to voters, he tells them that their choice is to have "a black friend in the White House or a white enemy." When Charlie Cox, an Obama supporter, hears friends fretting about Obama's race, he reminds them that they pull for the nearby University of Tennessee football team, "and they're black." Union organizer Jerry Stallard asks fellow coal workers what's more important: improving their work conditions or holding onto their skepticism of Obama's race, culture or religion. "We're all black in the mines," he tells them.

John McCain. Crook?????

10-06-2008
By Daddy

This campaign is NOT fair.

It struck me as funny that McInsane can bring up absurd issues against Barack Obama, and we should believe this. Today Barack Obama’s team has decided its time to talk about the Keating Five. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five

John McInsane’s camp immediately called foul.

What?

Now let me get this straight. Obama’s team pulls out facts, but this is playing dirty?

And Let me say something about the MSM.
These people give their opinion on what comes from the McInsane camp. You know all the scandals against Barack Obama. But they never break it down to their audience that these are lies. So far only two folks in pundit world have challenged McInsane’s constant lying. That would be Keith Oberman, and Rachel Madow at MSNBC.
Come on Johnny boy let’s talk about the issues. We’ve all heard of Rev. Wright. We all know that Barack Obama was 8 years old when William Ayers was in his anarchy stage. And besides that, Mr. Ayers has become an upstanding citizen in his neighborhood. I believe he’s a professor in good standing at the University of Illinois.

And what of Mr. Ayres. It just hit me that John McInsane can apogize for mistakes he made in his past, and expects forgivness from everyone, but those folks that know Barack Obama that have made mistakes they can never change, and should not be forgiven. Not Barack Obama, but folks that he knows! What the hell is wrong with this picture??
The economy, the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the price of a gallon of milk, the victims of Katrina in the Gulf States, American companies sending jobs overseas, people losing their homes, the price of a gallon of gas, lost 401K’s, lost saving accounts, and I could go on.

What about these things Mr. Maverick? For once it would be refreshing to hear you speak of those problems that affect each and every one of us today! We don’t want to hear your ranting on who Barack Obama is, or isn’t. We’ve had almost two years to see for ourselves who Barack Obama is.

It’s clear to most folks that you are not the person they thought you were. Yes you Mr. Maverick. And it’s very clear that the little honey pot you chose for your running mate is an extension of your ignorance.

How many times will she tell us the lie on taxes? How many times will she try to inject Rev. Wright back into the mix? How many times will she wink at us? How many times will you have her stand there and lie for you?

You say you’re a Christian, but you find it acceptable to lie over and over again. You say you’re the change candidate, but all we get from you is the same old, same old!
Well I’m emailing everyone that I know with your Keating Five information, and I’m hoping that they in turn send it to everyone they know. And on, and on, and on.

Senate Dem Raises Keating Five, Rips McCain On Economy, Palin
One of the Senate's most progressive members ripped John McCain on Tuesday for offering a phony populist self-portrayal in the wake of the current crisis in the financial markets. In the process, Sherrod Brown of Ohio raised the Republican nominee's involvement in the Keating Five scandal as evidence that voters couldn't trust McCain's record on both the economy and ethics.

"It is not so much his economic proposals but his economic record," Brown said of McCain. "His main adviser is Phil Gramm -- he was his mentor in the Senate -- and you just tie it all together. Of course John McCain supported the oil industry; he has oil lobbyists working for him. Of course John McCain supported these trade agreements, he has got Wall Street people working for him... It is all wrapped up together. John McCain is a creature of these interest groups in Washington. He is no maverick and, from the Keating Five on, his ethics have been questionable.

CHAPTER VII: THE KEATING FIVE

In happier times, there is McCain holding his newborn daughter while his wife, Cindy, smiles from her hospital bed.

But it is an innocent vacation picture that carries the reminder of the scandal that threatened his political career.

In the picture, taken in the Bahamas, McCain is seated on a bandstand while wearing an outrageous straw party hat. Next to him on the dais sits Charles Keating III, son of developer Charles H Keating Jr.

In 1982, during McCain's first run for the House, Keating held a fund-raiser for him, collecting more than $11,000 from 40 employees of American Continental Corp. McCain would spend more than $550,000 to win the primary and the general election.

In 1983, as McCain contemplated his House re-election, Keating hosted a $1,000-a-plate dinner for him, even though McCain had no serious competition. When McCain pushed for the Senate in 1986, Keating was there with more than $50,000.

By 1987, McCain had received about $112,000 in political contributions from Keating and his associates.

In early 1987, at the beginning of his first Senate term, McCain attended two meetings with federal banking regulators to discuss an investigation into Lincoln Savings and Loan, an Irvine, Calif., thrift owned by Arizona developer Charles Keating. Federal auditors were investigating Keating's banking practices, and Keating, fearful that the government would seize his S&L, sought intervention from a number of U.S. senators. http://www.slate.com/id/1004633/

McCain targets Obama's year-old comment on Afghanistan

10/6/2008
By Daddy.

Okay. Here we go with more lies. McInsane claims that Barack Obama should apologize for telling the truth? What’s up with that?

Now that its becoming clear that the American people truly want a change, and that McInsane is dropping in the polls, I guess its time for anything goes. This truly shows who is not ready to be POTUS. I ask the question again.

If McInsane is ready and willing to lie to the American people during his campaign, what’s to keep him from lying if he becomes the POTUS?

(CNN) – John McCain's campaign released
a new ad Monday that targets year-old comments from Barack Obama about the conflict in Afghanistan, calling them flat out "dishonorable."

The ad comes as the Arizona senator's campaign aggressively steps up its attacks on Obama's readiness to be a commander-in-chief and raises questions about his background with only a month remaining before voters weigh in.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

THE FACT CHECK:
A check of the facts shows that Western forces have been killing civilians at a faster rate than the insurgents have been killing civilians.

The U.S. and NATO say they don't have civilian casualty figures, but The Associated Press has been keeping count based on figures from Afghan and international officials. Tracking civilian deaths is a difficult task because they often occur in remote and dangerous areas that are difficult to reach and verify.

As of Aug. 1, the AP count shows that while militants killed 231 civilians in attacks in 2007, Western forces killed 286. Another 20 were killed in crossfire that can't be attributed to one party.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai expressed his concern about the civilian deaths during a meeting last week with President Bush.

Bush said he understands the agony that Afghans feel over the loss of innocent lives and that he is doing everything he can to protect them. He said the Taliban are using civilians as human shields and have no regard for their lives.

"The president rightly expressed his concerns about civilian casualty," Bush said of Karzai. "And I assured him that we share those concerns."

Civil Rights Groups Defending Predatory Lenders: Priceless

Washington Dispatch: What does Martin Luther King Jr. have to do with payday lenders? Nada, but that hasn't stopped African American leaders from invoking his name as they shill for the credit industry.

By Stephanie Mencimer
August 1, 2008

At the end of June, as the subprime mortgage crisis was driving the economy into a tailspin, Charles Steele Jr., the president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), took to the op-ed page of the Washington Post to
decry the devastating effect the meltdown was having on minority homeowners. But rather than support currently pending measures to better regulate the credit markets, the leader of one of the nation's oldest civil rights groups instead attacked them. Steele was particularly upset about a Federal Reserve proposal that would crack down on subprime credit cards—high-interest cards marketed to people with bad credit.

Steele rose to the card issuers' defense, invoking his group's founder, Martin Luther King Jr., and claiming that any move to regulate the cards would deny minorities access to much-needed credit. (In July, after another op-ed piece on a similar topic appeared under Steele's byline in a a handful of papers, he
claimed he didn't write it or authorize its release; according to Steele's lawyer, a Washington public relations and lobbying firm was behind the commentary.)

The argument was an odd one coming from a civil rights group. Most consumer groups believe that the subprime industry is largely predatory, and rife with abuses that disproportionately affect minorities. But Steele's op-ed makes a lot more sense when you consider a detail the Post at first left out: In August 2007, the SCLC formed a partnership with CompuCredit, a subprime credit card issuer and payday lending company. (The Post later updated its story to reflect this.)

The deal included plans for an affinity card that would put the famous civil rights group's name on CompuCredit Visa cards and joint "economic empowerment" workshops around the country to help educate minorities about credit. When Steele announced the deal last year, he said, "Consistent with SCLC's historic commitment to civil rights and economic justice, this partnership represents a critical part of our campaign for economic empowerment."

Sarah Palin - Say It Ain't So Joe!

10-03-08

By Daddy

I watched the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden last night, and I must say I was quite impressed.

Quite impressed that not knowing the answers to questions asked by the moderator gain respect from the MSM.

I don't know what debate they were watching but Sarah Palin has now cemented the fact firmly in my mind that she IS NOT ready to be the Vice POTUS.

But thats how I feel. And after reading the various sites this morning, I see there are a few more folk that see it just the way I do!

Last night, Sarah Palin repeated the fact that troop levels in Iraq are now back to pre-surge levels. This is not true. It is so untrue that even Fox News' Carl Cameron had to concede on camera that this was "arguably mathematically not the case." The only problem with that statement is the word "arguably:"

The Alaska governor is wrong because the number of troops on the ground is still higher and the number of combat brigades is the same as at the start of the surge in January 2007, according to Pentagon figures. Iraq troop levels before the surge were at 133,500. While U.S. troop levels in Iraq have been in the 142,000 range recently, today they are at around 150,000 because of an ongoing troop rotation.

Cameron noted that Palin acknowledged "mistatements" but would not retract or apologize for any. So far, I have seventeen undeniable factual untruths from Palin that she refuses to retract.

And they say this would not be Bush's third term?  (Andrew Sullivan  The Atlantic)

How do you tell the moderator and the other debater that you will answer the questions the way YOU want to?

"I want to go back to the energy plan," she said when asked about the federal bailout plan. "I want to talk about, again, my record on energy," she said when asked about bankruptcy. Biden grew frustrated. "If you notice, Gwen, the governor did not answer the question."  Replied Sarah Six-Pack: "I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I'm going to talk straight to the American people." And, indeed, she stared into the camera, largely ignoring Ifill, Biden and the audience.

This woman may be a great mother, a great neighbor, even a good mayor, but she has in no way the credentials to be the Vice President.

And why is it that Barack Obama needs more experience, but winking and flirting with the camera says it all for the Rethuglican candidate?

Here we go. The Black man has to jump though hoops but the White woman is good enough knowing nothing at all. I had to bite my lip to get through this debate.

Joe Biden knows how Washington works. He knows numbers. He knows statistics. He knows people. But this poor excuse for trailer trash won the debate? How the hell do you win when skirting the questions directed towards you?

She lied over and over again about Barack Obama's plan for taxes. "She was charming. She took control, and except for a brief moment when a teary-eyed Biden recalled his wife's death and the experience of being a single parent, she never lost it. When Biden sighed, Palin smiled. He jutted his jaw forward in frustration; she smirked. He furrowed his brow; she winked".

The woman didn't even acknowledge his pain. She jumped right back to the lie that Barack Obama plans to tax those folks making $42,000 a year.

Remember The Rules: Time-Tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right, Ellen Fein's and Sherry Schneider's explosively controversial 1995 book that upended thirty years of feminist teaching about dating? Forget all that equality and intelligence stuff, The Rules advised. Who wants to be Hillary Clinton? Men are simple, attracted to sexual symbols and bright, shiny objects. If you want them, they argued, you must sport long hair and wear sexy, attention-getting clothes. The suit Palin wore for the debate was some amazingly iridescent material, and she sported an eye-popping sparkly rhinestone flag pin. Watching Biden and Palin on the same stage was like watching a tennis champion walk onto Centre Court at Wimbledon only to find himself facing an over-eager amateur from the local high school. Or as Pat Mitchell told me, "Biden was taking part in a vice presidential debate; Palin was taking part in a junior high debate."

Here's how Esther Dyson put it: "It's pretty clear that Biden spent decades getting ready for this debate, learning from experience; Palin spent a couple of weeks, learning from handlers and speech coaches." Ann Wojcicki, co-founder of 23andme, told me: "I was dying to hear something -- anything! -- from Palin that wasn't pre-rehearsed."

Throughout the entire 90-minute debate, Palin came across as an over-wound windup doll, sporting a pasted-on-smile expression that never varied, except when she winked. Which she did repeatedly -- and pathetically. It was the folksiest appearance since Hee-Haw went off the air.

"The home-spun homilies have to go," Martha Stewart told me. "And, oh my god, words do have ending consonants."

In the greatest disconnect of the evening, Palin repeatedly went to the Reagan well, offering up such Gipper classics as "there you go again" and that "shining city on the hill." But, really, during a week in which John McCain hopped on board Bush's $700 billion bailout, did Palin not see how incongruous it was to insist that government isn't the solution, it's the problem? And declare that all we need to get this country back on track is for the government to get out of our way? Isn't that what got us where we are today? Or had she been so busy cramming for the debate she didn't have time to read one of the so-many-she-can't-name-one newspapers she reads?

Joe Biden's only insincere moment was when he told her: "Governor, it was a pleasure to meet you."

A better exit line would have been: "Governor, it's a pleasure to think that, God willing, in 33 days, you'll be back where you belong -- shootin' moose and takin' on those big oil companies in Alaska."

My patience with Palin is waving the white flag of surrender.....(Huffington Post)

We now we see that ANYTHING is better than having the Black man win this election for some people out there. For us Black folk this is the ultimate slap in the face. "We don't care how stupid she is, she's a better choice than the guy who can answer all of the questions?

It was bad enough knowing that Gwen Ifill, and Joe Biden had to be on their best behavior last night. You know you can't attack the White woman, especially two Black folks.

When Gwen Ifill asked a question Palin did not have a notecard answer for--whether she agreed with Vice President Cheney's egregiously overreaching interpretation of the constitutional role of the vice president--the answer was ladled up straight from the Palin linguistic smorgasbord: "Well, our founding fathers were very wise there in allowing through the Constitution much flexibility there in the office of the vice president. And we will do what is best for the American people in tapping into that position and ushering in an agenda that is supportive and cooperative with the president's agenda in that position. Yeah, so I do agree with him that we have a lot of flexibility in there, and we'll do what we have to do to administer very appropriately the plans that are needed for this nation. And it is my executive experience that is partly to be attributed to my pick as VP with McCain, not only as a governor, but earlier on as a mayor, as an oil and gas regulator, as a business owner. It is those years of experience on an executive level that will be put to good use in the White House, also." (NY Times)

These people feel they can do, and, say anything, and thats good enough. They lie, and distort the truth. They say its sexist to question Sarah Palin too closely. As a matter of fact any negatives directed towards the McInsane campaign is just wrong!!!!

Well, I feel no matter how they try to twist it, Barack Obama will be the next POTUS.

But I guess they could assasinate him before November gets here..

You all have a great and blessed weekend. PEACE!

McKinney Accuses Government of Slaughtering Prisoners, Dumping Bodies During Katrina

WASHINGTON: Cynthia McKinney claims the Department of Defense executed 5,000 prisoners with one bullet to the head and then dumped their bodies in a Louisiana swamp during Hurricane Katrina.

Green Party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney, known for her provocative statements as a former Georgia representative, this week accused the Department of Defense of using Hurricane Katrina to cover up a prison slaughter.

At a news conference in Oakland, Calif., on Sunday, McKinney claimed the Pentagon authorized the execution of 5,000 prisoners with one bullet to the head and then dumped their bodies in a Louisiana swamp.

McKinney said she heard the story from the mother of a National Guard soldier who was assigned to help dispose of the bodies.

"And these were mostly males and her son was afraid to talk because he had signed a silence agreement," McKinney told the crowd. "So he only complained to his mother. But the data was entered into a Pentagon computer."

McKinney said she verified the story from "insiders" who wanted to remain anonymous.

A Woman's Worth

I received this in an email. I know its long, but I felt I had to post. I like what this woman has to say, and I like how she said it. Bravo!!!

It's the same as "the Blacks are voting for Barack Obama because he's Black. As if Black folk don't have issues that concern them and their families.

Yeah right!

You all have a great and blessed day. PEACE!

We've come a long way baby Tuesday, September 09, 2008
By Goldie Taylor

I have been a mother all of my adult life. A single working mother. I put off dating, took menial jobs far beneath my qualifications and baked my share of ginger bread cookies for PTA Night, all so that three incredible children could have a better life. I chose their lives over mine. I don't have to tell you that it wasn't easy. Unfortunately, my story, our story, is not unique.

We slept in cars, bought groceries with food stamps and prayed for a better day. When that wasn't enough, I put myself through school at Emory University and took a part-time job as a staff writer at the Atlanta Journal Constitution. That was over a decade ago.

Along the way, things got better. I've been an executive at two Fortune 500 companies and a practice director at two multinational public relations firms. Today, I own an advertising agency and I've authored two novels. A third and fourth are on the way, God willing. All of this was possible because somebody laid a brick or two on the road for me.

A few weeks ago, I woke in tears. It was my 40th birthday and certainly not a time for sadness. Rather, I cried in joy because for the first time I realized and could embrace the value of the struggle. The bright little girl, who once cried in my arms because we didn't know where we were going to live, was headed off to Brown University.

The small boy who had been the "man of the house" far too soon was now truly a man. And the tiny, angelic baby who had come to this world precious and innocent just 15 months after him was now a 16 year old girl headed out to her first job interview.

For all of this, maybe I should be proud of a woman like Sarah Palin. Maybe, just maybe, I should be rejoicing in John McCain's selected running mate.
But I'm not.

I am not a "bed wetting liberal" nor am I a "right-wing zealot." What I am is a working mother. And I cry foul.

I won't, for a moment, denigrate her experience or lob spit balls at her family. I will, though, take issue with what she knows. Or more succinctly, what she does not know. Living in Alaska , I'm not sure how much she knows about the people living in inner city Baltimore.

I don't know how much she cares about the 125 murders this summer in Chicago. I have no idea what she believes about HIV/ AIDS and the havoc it wrecks on Black women or the cancer rates in East St. Louis . She hasn't said nary a word about Hurricane Katrina or the infant mortality rates in Appalachia.

I do know that she's a life-time member of the NRA, a proponent of individuals who wielded the very weapons that killed my father and brother.

I do know that she "lives really close to Russia ," but I'm not so certain she is ready for Putin.

I know she wanted to ban books for public libraries and sex education in schools, but that her 17 year old is pregnant and preparing for a shotgun wedding.

I know that she loves her husband enough to allow him (and probably did herself) use her office to settle a personal score--one that the McCain campaign would now like to cover up under a blanket of Juneau snow.

I know that the Alaska Independent Party, and its secessionist platform, was enticing enough for her to attend its conference (and for her husband to become a card carrying member). Does she love her country? I'm sure. Enough to support those who want to leave it.

But I have no earthly idea what she knows (or could possibly know) about national domestic policy or foreign diplomacy. For all of her working class values, she never once mentioned the Middle Class in her diatribe that mocked her opponent's experience. Having been the mayor of Wasilla (pop. 6,000 at the time) and governor of Alaska (a state a smaller than the county I live in) for a little over a year, she felt she was qualified to do that. And obviously, so did John McCain.

If she's qualified, then so am I.

But in this country I love, she has been afforded the ability to run. The very constitution she says doesn't apply to the men at Guantanamo says she can. But this is about more than that.

As Gloria Steinem said in a recent Los Angeles Times editorial, "Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It's about making life more fair for women everywhere. It's not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It's about baking a new pie."

The good news is thanks to Shirley Chisholm, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Angela Davis, Condoleeza Rice, Anita Hill, Madeline Albright, Maxine Waters, Kathleen Sebelius, Hilary Rodham Clinton and a slew of others, there are 18 million proverbial cracks in the ceiling. Our collective political and economic power is due to the strides (and leaps) they, and others, took on my behalf.

I am grateful. I am deeply humbled to stand on the bricks they'd laid before me.

But, whatever our struggle was (and is) that last thing I want is to be patronized. Just as I cannot support just any African American who decides to offer themselves up for public service, I will not toss my vote to someone just because we share the same chromosome mix. To do so would dishonor the vow I made to my children, to myself.

I did not vote for Al Sharpton, wasn't old enough (nor would I have) voted for Jesse Jackson and I certainly will not support Sarah Palin. Identity politics, especially in this case, are a sham of the worst order.

When I cast my vote, it will be for people who will lay more bricks for people like me. It will be for people who will put diplomacy before war, challenge us all to provide healthcare for the sick, help another child go to college, and check the special interests in Washington . This fall, I'm not looking for a woman.
I'm looking for a brick layer.

I could care less if that person hasn't spent "enough" time in Washington or can "properly field dress a moose". I could care less if that person likes hockey, soccer, football or table tennis. I could care less if they graduated from Harvard or the University of Iowa . I'm a Christian, but I could care less if they are down with Deuteronomy, Leviticus or Numbers. I want them to uphold the Constitution.

So no, I will not sit idly by as they attempt to suspend habeas corpus at Guantanamo Bay, engage wiretaps on American citizens without a warrant, and hide behind executive privilege when they are caught firing attorney generals based on how well they tow the Republican line.

I won't let them cost us $12 billion a month fighting a war that should have never been authorized and never been waged. Not while working people lose their homes to predatory lenders and watch as we bail out the financial institutions that created the housing crisis. I will not, in the name of history, vote for a woman like Sarah Palin who does not share my values.
But here's what I will do.

I will continue raising money for Barack Obama. I will get on the phone again and call people in distant states I've never met. I will e-mail, call, and knock on doors until the final vote is cast. I do this, not because he shares my skin, but because I admire his principals and he shares my values. I do this because Barack Obama is more than a community organizer, he is a bricklayer. And he sees -- just as he sees the light in Michelle's eyes -- my struggle, my worth as a woman.

They Are at It Already! Important news story - please read

Did you see this?

The story is all over Progressive Talk Radio today about the McCain campaign sending absentee ballot applications to registered democrats or people that have donated to Obama's campaign .

These ballots are deliberately misleading and have postage paid return addresses that are for an election clerk that is outside of your city or town. What this will end up doing is either having your vote not counted, or if you return one of these, they will cite you for election fraud, saying that you already voted absentee.

These ballots are only being sent out in 'purple states' and this is a big deal..

This is called voter caging, and is a huge problem. The McCain campaign is stealing this election as we speak. Please get this information out to as many people as you can, and tell anyone you know who has received one of these ballots that they need to contact their city election clerk or the supervisor of elections immediately.

Also call the local media and let them know what is going on. The mainstream media is never going to cover this so we have to depend on our ground campaign to get the word out to our voters.

The story is at this link on MSNBC:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26683049/

If we all keep talking to each other via email we are bound to stop someof the madness that they are trying to pull. We can't let them stealthis election from us. Pass this along to others.

Thanks to Lorenzo Dunn for sending this out.

Peace!

11 Racist Lies Conservatives Tell to Avoid Blaming Wall Street for the Financial Crisis

By Sara Robinson, Campaign for America's FuturePosted on October 2, 2008, Printed on October 2, 2008

Conservative pundits and politicians have piled onto the excuse like shipwreck victims clinging to a passing log: The real blame for the current economic crisis, conservatives would have you believe, lies not with anything they did, but rather with the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act -- a successful Carter-era program designed to get banks to stop covert discrimination, and encourage them to invest their money in low-income neighborhoods.

It's always easy to tell when the cons are completely lost at sea. The lies get more absurdly preposterous -- and also more transparently self-serving. But when they go so far as to openly and unapologetically latch onto race and class as an excuse for their woes (which this is, at its heart), you know they're taking on water fast -- and scared of going under entirely.

You can hear the conservative commentators burbling this CRA fable from the Wall Street Journal to the National Review; from Rush to YouTube. Neil Cavuto put the essence of the argument right out there on Fox News: "Loaning to minorities and risky folks is a disaster." See! It's all the liberals' fault for insisting on social justice!

Conservatives are twisting the facts beyond the breaking point to support their revisionist history. But don't be fooled: the financial crisis was caused by conservative financial follies and bankers run amok and nothing more. Here are the basic myths they're trying to push about the CRA -- and the facts that will enable you to fire back.

Janet Jackson Postpones Two More Shows Due To Illness

Oct 1 2008 11:23 AM EDT

Singer's ailment has not yet been disclosed.
By Jocelyn Vena

After postponing her Monday show in Montreal due to an unspecified illness, Janet Jackson has also canceled her Wednesday show in Boston and her Thursday one in Philadelphia, according to the venues' Web sites.

The singer suddenly became ill during the sound check for Monday's show and was hospitalized, but was discharged two hours later, according to a spokesperson from Montreal's Royal Victoria Hospital.

"Yesterday evening she was checked into the Royal Victoria Hospital and left a couple of hours later," Rebecca Burns, the spokeswoman for the McGill University Health Centre, which operates the hospital, told People.com on Tuesday.

At press time, the Rock Witchu Tour, which also features LL Cool J, was expected to resume in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Saturday.

It's been a bumpy tour — and year — for Jackson. On Friday, she postponed a show in Detroit due to "production constraints," according to TMZ. Last week, Jackson announced that she would be parting ways with Island Def Jam Records after just 14 months with the label. The singer's publicist noted that the label agreed to dissolve the relationship upon Jackson's request.

In March, Jackson released an album that reflected a return to her mid-'80s Control era in more ways than just the title. But since debuting at #1, the album has sold disappointingly, according to SoundScan. In interviews, Jackson hinted that she was unhappy with the way things were working out with the label.

Monday's ailment isn't the first illness that Jackson has battled this year. In April, while promoting Discipline,, Jackson missed an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" due to illness. Boyfriend Jermaine Dupri told MTV News she had bronchitis.

It's Just as Scary the Second Time!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

John McInsane's pick for V.P.

I really can't add any more to this. The video speaks for its self.
