John McCain. Crook?????

By Daddy

This campaign is NOT fair.

It struck me as funny that McInsane can bring up absurd issues against Barack Obama, and we should believe this. Today Barack Obama’s team has decided its time to talk about the Keating Five. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five

John McInsane’s camp immediately called foul.

What?

Now let me get this straight. Obama’s team pulls out facts, but this is playing dirty?

And Let me say something about the MSM.
These people give their opinion on what comes from the McInsane camp. You know all the scandals against Barack Obama. But they never break it down to their audience that these are lies. So far only two folks in pundit world have challenged McInsane’s constant lying. That would be Keith Oberman, and Rachel Madow at MSNBC.
Come on Johnny boy let’s talk about the issues. We’ve all heard of Rev. Wright. We all know that Barack Obama was 8 years old when William Ayers was in his anarchy stage. And besides that, Mr. Ayers has become an upstanding citizen in his neighborhood. I believe he’s a professor in good standing at the University of Illinois.

And what of Mr. Ayres. It just hit me that John McInsane can apogize for mistakes he made in his past, and expects forgivness from everyone, but those folks that know Barack Obama that have made mistakes they can never change, and should not be forgiven. Not Barack Obama, but folks that he knows! What the hell is wrong with this picture??
The economy, the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the price of a gallon of milk, the victims of Katrina in the Gulf States, American companies sending jobs overseas, people losing their homes, the price of a gallon of gas, lost 401K’s, lost saving accounts, and I could go on.

What about these things Mr. Maverick? For once it would be refreshing to hear you speak of those problems that affect each and every one of us today! We don’t want to hear your ranting on who Barack Obama is, or isn’t. We’ve had almost two years to see for ourselves who Barack Obama is.

It’s clear to most folks that you are not the person they thought you were. Yes you Mr. Maverick. And it’s very clear that the little honey pot you chose for your running mate is an extension of your ignorance.

How many times will she tell us the lie on taxes? How many times will she try to inject Rev. Wright back into the mix? How many times will she wink at us? How many times will you have her stand there and lie for you?

You say you’re a Christian, but you find it acceptable to lie over and over again. You say you’re the change candidate, but all we get from you is the same old, same old!
Well I’m emailing everyone that I know with your Keating Five information, and I’m hoping that they in turn send it to everyone they know. And on, and on, and on.

Senate Dem Raises Keating Five, Rips McCain On Economy, Palin
One of the Senate's most progressive members ripped John McCain on Tuesday for offering a phony populist self-portrayal in the wake of the current crisis in the financial markets. In the process, Sherrod Brown of Ohio raised the Republican nominee's involvement in the Keating Five scandal as evidence that voters couldn't trust McCain's record on both the economy and ethics.

"It is not so much his economic proposals but his economic record," Brown said of McCain. "His main adviser is Phil Gramm -- he was his mentor in the Senate -- and you just tie it all together. Of course John McCain supported the oil industry; he has oil lobbyists working for him. Of course John McCain supported these trade agreements, he has got Wall Street people working for him... It is all wrapped up together. John McCain is a creature of these interest groups in Washington. He is no maverick and, from the Keating Five on, his ethics have been questionable.

CHAPTER VII: THE KEATING FIVE

In happier times, there is McCain holding his newborn daughter while his wife, Cindy, smiles from her hospital bed.

But it is an innocent vacation picture that carries the reminder of the scandal that threatened his political career.

In the picture, taken in the Bahamas, McCain is seated on a bandstand while wearing an outrageous straw party hat. Next to him on the dais sits Charles Keating III, son of developer Charles H Keating Jr.

In 1982, during McCain's first run for the House, Keating held a fund-raiser for him, collecting more than $11,000 from 40 employees of American Continental Corp. McCain would spend more than $550,000 to win the primary and the general election.

In 1983, as McCain contemplated his House re-election, Keating hosted a $1,000-a-plate dinner for him, even though McCain had no serious competition. When McCain pushed for the Senate in 1986, Keating was there with more than $50,000.

By 1987, McCain had received about $112,000 in political contributions from Keating and his associates.

In early 1987, at the beginning of his first Senate term, McCain attended two meetings with federal banking regulators to discuss an investigation into Lincoln Savings and Loan, an Irvine, Calif., thrift owned by Arizona developer Charles Keating. Federal auditors were investigating Keating's banking practices, and Keating, fearful that the government would seize his S&L, sought intervention from a number of U.S. senators. http://www.slate.com/id/1004633/
